On June 6, 2015 - Thanks to donation from Juanita Saucedo, a retired Principal from CPS and Alumni of the Chicago Cuatro Orchestra Project, we were able to present a performance free to the community at the new facilities of El Centro, an extension of the Northeastern University, from Chicago.
It was an action packed day as activities included; Bouncy house, Face painting, Magic show, Free haircuts, Free manicures and Zumba Class. |

2015 Recognition Ceremony at Funstion: This year Funston Elementary School hosted the 2015 Recognition Ceremony. The school's music program allows for students to participate in a one of a kind opportunity to learn how to play the Puerto Rican national instrument, The Cuatro. Students from James Russel Lowell Elementary and Funston participated in this program with great success. They received their awards for completing their classes and they now have a fantastic opportunity to take their talents and advance to the next level of classes.
